Macrophotography provides us with a whole new method to enjoy the amazing world that we live in. It allows us to view a world that we cannot see with the naked eye, and it gives us the time to study and observe each and every nuance.

Flowers have so many different, unique and interesting details.
Macrophotography of flowers magically brings these details to our attention and places them in an image that we can analyze and enjoy. And flowers give us so much to enjoy – from their brightly colored petals to their small grains of pollen.
As you view the set of flowers below, observe how the colors blend into each other. Be amazed as you look at the individual pollen grains. Also look at the furry textures that are represented in the images of these pictures.

The the flower of the wondering Wandering Jew featured below is viewed in all of its glory. Notice the striations on the stamens.
The dandelion below exhibits with amazing clarity both hard and soft textures. Notice the holes left behind when the little parachuted seed is released for dispersion. Notice also the barbs at the base off the parachute where the seed is encased, helping it to catch and attach once it has landed somewhere.

I really would like to do macro photography, too. But we still don't have the special lens needed for our DSLR. For now, I can do a little of that using my point and shoot camera.

The photos are beautiful and I like the way you highlight different aspects of the flowers with your captions. The moisture on the hairs of the lily stamen was amazing. The detail with this macrophotography is so cool. Have you tried taking photos like this?
