Hub Luv in the Magical Land of Hubpages #13
66
It has been a couple weeks since I have published a Hub Luv hub. At the end of the year, I decided that this would no longer be a weekly publication. One reason for this decision is that I intended to slow down on my publication schedule. I have less time than previously and I need to balance my schedule better, and to do that I needed to spend less time working on the hub luv hubs. Also, I only want to publish a hub luv hub when I feel that I have gathered together enough information to share, or if the information that I want to share is time sensitive. By doing this, I am trying to make best use of your time and mine.
Working on More SEO
SEO is so important in what we do, if we intend to make money doing it. It is one of the things that I have struggled with and I often hear others express having the same difficulties. Therefore, I am always reading articles about this subject, and run across hubs that cause me to think about it more thoroughly or differently. I have included a couple of them here for you to find your own golden nuggets of information.
cardisa brought up a good subject that we all need to consider in her hub, SEO: Making Your Sub-Domain Google Friendly Using Tags and Keywords. I will be looking at and reworking my profile taking her advice into consideration. Look at this hub and see what you think!
ktrapp delivered another valuable SEO lesson with her hub, 10 SEO Tips for Backlinks. If you have some questions about SEO and backlinks (and most of us do), I am sure that you will find this article very helpful!
I have found and continue to find that there is so much to learn as I continue on this journey into the Magical Land of HubPages and beyond. SEO has to be learned and researched, both of which take time... and as they say time is money. In order to help me in this area I have taken a short-cut that I documented in my hub, Learning the Foreign Language of SEO using Market Samurai. You may have already read this and if you have, please pardon the repost.
Spreading the Love!
This hub really has me thinking, wondering and pondering. Inquiring minds want to know! I know I certainly want to know more! It is written by dorsi, and is titled, Strange Sounds in the Sky from Around the World. A must read and watch! The video sent chills up and down my spine! I think I would like to hear this for myself, but then maybe not...
I have taken part in a couple of these, but after reading Melovy's hub, What is The Weekly Topic Inspiration, and Why Should You Take Part?, I know that I am going to have to check these out more often. We can all use the traffic, right?
tammyswallow recently wrote, Happy Birthday!! A Birthday Card for All Hubbers! Be sure to visit this hub and enter your birthday on the ever-growing list. Share your birthday with your hub family!
tammyswallow also published another hub that I almost hesitate to share with you. I must admit that I tend to live a very sheltered life - mostly because I am a home body, i.e. I don't get out much. Give me my computer and I'm pretty happy. I am publishing this hub while slightly blushing. I have never heard of this before, and I would have never imagined that they had competitions where this was done, but then again...I don't get out much. So without further ado, tammyswallow's hub, What Are Air Sex Competitions? This just might be spreading the love a little too far; what do you think? (Sorry, no pictures to illustrate this one!)
Is there a Perfect Hub?
Have you ever stopped to think what HubPages considers to be the perfect hub? I know I have! And I've seen lots of questions in the forums asking about number of words required for hubs, pictures, etc. And then this hub came to my attention, The HubPages Golden Standard: Elements of a Stellar Hub, and I knew this was the answer.
Helpful Hubs
We all struggle sometimes with writing and with knowing the right way to do things, especially when we are new to a given situation. This is true even for HubPages. Have you ever wondered what were some of the biggest mistakes made on HubPages, and if you were guilty of making those mistakes yourself? Relache has taken the guesswork out of this scenario with her hub, The 10 Most Common HubPage Mistakes.
RedElf wrote a great hub, Can I Earn Money Writing On HubPages? This hub is so packed full of information that I have read it twice and bookmarked it to read again in the future. It has lots of useful information and lots of great links!
Checking Out the Forums/Questions
Website Examiner recently started a forum post, Fiction Writers - Please Introduce Yourselves. If you are a fiction writer and want to be recognized as such, I would hop over to that forum and post.
Have you ever wondered, "It is okay to click on Amazon and Ebay capsules if we saw something that interested us, isn't it?" I know I have, and that is why I asked that exact question on HubPages. If you want to know what other hubbers thought, click here.
Have you ever wondered, "When we reply to comments on our hubs, are those visits registered by goggle? More specifically... .... does it affect our view duration statistics?" Again I did and asked the question. If you would like to know the responses to this question, click here.
WARNING!
If you are like me, you may have been adding something at the end of your hubs encouraging people to comment and vote on your hub. Just in case you missed the announcement, as of February 1st, these will no longer be allowed. See example on the right. Any hubs with these types of requests/graphics is subject to being unpublished by the HubPages staff. I had just spent a great deal of time adding them to all 160 of my hubs, and have spent and equally great amount of time removing them from each hub. Only a few more to go.
It's a Wrap!
That's it for this edition of hub luv! If you feel this hub was beneficial, please share.
And until, next time .... Happy Hubbing!

I love these Hublove hubs of yours.
Cindy my first comment is that you wasted such valuable time removing all 160 banners when you could spend a few minutes signing up the HP removal form and let them do it automatically for you...lol
This is such great hub, you have captured some very important topic here. I am off to read what it takes to get an A+ HUB...LOL
Almost forgot, thanks for including me...I am a sucker for attention! ha ha

Yet again I feel the hublove. You are the queen of hub love! Keep them comin'! Happy hubbin'!
Hi Cindy
Your Hub Luv hubs are so interesting, well-written and valuable because they put, in one place, a summary of a number of other hubs that I always read because you write about them.
Thanks so much.
This is another fantastic hub luv! I really enjoyed reading the answers to your question. How interesting. Anyway, thanks for sharing these amazing hubs! Voted up as always, etc.

Thanks for that! If it weren't for the hubluv of my fellow hubbers like you, I don't know where my poor little hubs would be right now. You are one of the best for supporting other hubbers and I thank you for it!
Hello Cindy, This was another great hubluv hub. I have 3 more hubs that look very interesting too, thanks to reading this hub. On really useful topics that we all wonder about.
Voted up interesting, useful and SHARING
Hi Cindy, That was an interesting answer in the forum re our page views 'counted' . I was just wondering about it today.
Nice to know that the view figures we get are just from other people and not doubled up because we are re-visiting out hubs to answer comments.
Good question and a great answer. hubluv strikes again.
Excellent links here, and guess what? I've read nearly all of them. Voting this Up and Interesting.
Oh I am so glad when these hubluvs show up on my live feed. This one is full of great information as the ones previously. Thank you so much for sharing them and now off to read the hubs you mentioned and I missed
Lots of helpful info and links here! Thanks much for putting it together for us.
A great hub as usual.
You raised some very interesting questions and many of us would like to know the answers.
The links you give are very useful
As far as removing the banners goes, mine were uploaded as images so all I did was to delete the image from my image file and that removed them, or seems to have done.
Thank you for sharing all this info
What another great hub luv hub! You are doing such an awesome job on these. Sorry I haven't had time to comment on all of them, but I have enjoyed reading them. Thanks! I am looking forward to the next one. :)
I thought I had commented on here but don't see it, perhaps I didn't hit the button.

Very interesting approach and a great hub.

Thanks so much for mentioning my backlinks hub in your "working on more seo" section. I always enjoy seeing your latest edition of Hub Luv and particularly found the forum/question section helpful. I am going to check out that ebay answer since I have been wondering that exact same thing.

As an online writer I am always learning new ways to improve so thank you for a very interesting collection.
Up and useful Thanks for SHARING
Hi Cindy ~ this is a great selection. I'm trying to go back and read more of your HubLuv hubs. I'm happy to say that I have read almost all of your mentions here. Funny about the encouraging people to vote on your hubs. The same day that I spent a couple hours making a pretty banner for myself, is the same day I heard it was going to be a no no :( Oh well, thanks for a great read here.
