Hub Luv in the Magical Land of HubPages
This hub luv hub contains less hubs than most, especially considering the last one, but I believe that you will find it packed full of information and great hubs that you will enjoy. I hope that you will glean some information from this hub, and find your time on HubPages to be more productive and enjoyable because of it!
Fun Hub Luv
When I read missolive's hub, Poetic Prose - A Shackled Plea, three weeks ago, I saved the link to include in one of my hub luv hubs. This is the one. I suppose I had never read poetic prose before - not knowingly anyway. She wrote a very wonderful piece. Be sure to check it out!
Sometimes you read something and you realize it just makes sense. That is how I felt when I read Website Examiner's hub, 10 Reasons for HubPages to Become a Book Publisher. Take a moment to read this hub and see if you too don't see the logic in it also!
How to Get More Traffic!
successfulblogger wrote a very simple and easy to understand article on SEO, Are You Making SEO Mistakes? It brings to light some very basic principles while at the same time stressing some things that are important.
I saw this hub talked about in the forums, so I had to go check it out. This hubpages hub, Increase your Traffic by Updating your Hubs using these 12 Steps!, is a great resource to have in your arsenal. It is specifically addressing hubs that are over a year old, but I found that I learned much from it that I can be proactive about now. It also had lots of great and useful links embedded into its text that I found so very helpful. Be sure to check this one out! Check out the forum posting also - it contains lots of good information to be gleaned!
Getting Tagged!
I just noticed something this week that I had never noticed before. You do not have to edit your hub to change the tags. You can edit your tags anytime you are viewing your hub. This makes it quick and easy to check and update your tags. No excuse not to check them often to make sure they are receiving the traffic they deserve! (An example would be when you were already on the hub, such as answering a comment.) Traffic is where the money is found!
Speaking of tags. When I am creating a hub, I now add "homesteadbound" and "Cindy Murdoch" as tags to all of my hubs. Does it help? I don't know. Does it hurt? (Only if I type too hard! LOL) I can't see how. I would think that it would give those two terms more "umph" on the internet. We can all use more "umph"! (Someone tell me how to spell that word!)
Attention all Ladies!
Cagsil is doing his annual Valentine's hub featuring the ladies of HubPages. If you are a lady writing on HubPages and want to be featured in his hub, you need to give him a shout in his forum about this, Okay Ladies Are You UP for it? You cannot be featured in this hub unless you let him know on this forum. If you want to be featured, you need to have the things that he is asking for by February 10th, but earlier is better for him to be able to pull in all together. If you want to see examples of this hub from previous years, check out, Women Writers In HubPages Community or Women Writers In HubPages Community Part Deux. He has a special email listed in the forum for you to send your information to. Hope to see lots of you ladies taking part in this Valentine's special hub!
Cagsgil has asked that the following be shared: "IF you are going to be submitting things for other people or if you are spreading the news about this hub, and you find people who want to take part...then ask them to include their profile link in the email or post to this forum."
The email address is: neonrtred@yahoo.com

This is great homesteadbound. I found all the hubs to be interesting in their own way. I especially liked your little joke about adding your name to the tags :)
Great informational hub Cindy..Thanks so much.
Sunnie
Excellent Hub Luv, Cindy! I am definitely going to check out the hub about increasing traffic on old hubs. I have taken a small hiatus from publishing new content (other than my hub luv hubs) and have been working on SEO, editing, and backlinking on my older hubs. Thank you so much for sharing this and I hope that this hub encourages more people to join Cagsil's ladies hub. Have a great day! Voted up, etc.
Thanks, Homestead, it was very kind of your to include my latest hub. It is an interesting concept you have here, and well presented. I agree that changing URLs is typically more trouble than it is worth.
Hi homesteadbound,
It's so sweet of you to give all these people a shout, and of Raymond to give us any more chance to be noticed. I never thought to put my name in the tags, it can't hurt. I don't go on the forums too much, because my computer skills are up to about average now, and my hubs take me pretty long! I was wondering about how to safely remove hubs though. I write book reviews that only get so/so attention, and was thinking of putting them on a blog. It's hard to delete your stuff, but I don't like keeping it if it's not helping. I want to write a hub for all the nice people and good writers I've met along my hub journey too!
Hi, I read the 2 Hubs that you recommend for getting more traffic, they are useful indeed. Also, thanks for letting us know of Cagsil initiative, I already signed up for that as well.
Hi Cindy, I'll have to check out some of those hubs you mentioned. Very nice, not the usual but still nice.
Lots of great information here again Cindy. I've opened the links on new windows, and am off to read them. Thanks!
Outstanding HSB! I felt the hublove throughout this hub!:)
Great hub with useful links. Thanks for sharing this information.
This is great. I went and read the hubs I hadn't already read.
The word "hub love" has been chosen appropriately to elicit your gratefulness towards the hubs that are mentioned. "Google removal tool" was a new information for me which I found to be useful. Interesting and useful!
homesteadbound, what a great collection. I of course want to thank you for including Shackled Plea. I think Cagsil's Valentine's hub idea is awesome and I'm looking forward to it. I do tend to tag myself as well. I'm sure those tags are recognized. (don't type so hard...hehe)
Lots of great info. By the way, I do think you did spell 'umph' correctly :)
Thank you for sharing your insight. Voted up and sharing
Great hub Cindy. Thank you for the links, I will go and read the hubs that I have not already read.
I assumed that tweaking the title would change the URL but it doesn't does it. I never checked before.
Thankf or more great info
Good Morning, thanks for all this additional info you give to us. I've joined with the other ladies to be included in Cagsil's Hub. That should be fun to read! I've bookmarked this Hub into my hometeadbound folder. Have a wonderful day.
Another great addition to your growing library of Hub Luv hubs, Cindy! I always look forward to receiving the notification that you have published another one of these as I always learn so much. Voted up and useful.
As alwasy, I love your Hub Luv hubs:) It's a great way to see some hubs that I might have missed otherwise!
Great hub with great Hub links. Now, I have to bookmark it so that I can go and look all of these links over.
Thanks for the info! I bookmarked this :)
So very useful homesteadbound;thank you so much for sharing this gem.
I vote up plus bookmark into my most useful hubs.
Take care and enjoy your day.
Eddy.
Hi, this is great, I am going to read the hubs that I have missed, thanks!
I really enjoy your hub luvin hubs. It is amazing how much information you glean from it. Thanks for all the tips and great hubs from fellow hubbers. I hit all buttons :-)
homesteadbound--I never thought about putting my name(s) on the tags. Great idea!I'm going to bookmark this hub, as there are several hubs I want to read. Awesome! and lots of other votes, including up!
Some great suggestions, many very useful hubs! I like that you do this, I think that it is a really nice tribute.
Thanks for SHARING.
hi Cindy!!
This is a very helpful hub! I was recently talking to Cagsil about the need to move beyond the two/three tags I typically use...I will see if 'ThoughtSandwiches' brings in any money!
Thanks,
Thomas

Hey Homesteadbound, very nicely done. I appreciate the links to my hubs and spreading the message about you Valentine's Day hub coming up. To let everyone who reads, if you're a woman and you writer here on HubPages, then you are more than welcome to participate in the hub. If you do not normally post on the forums, but want to be in the hub, then just email me directly with your profile link. This is an alternate option for any lady who actively stays away from the forums. This hub isn't about the ladies of the forums. It's about all women who write on HubPages. The same format can be seen in the previous version hubs.
With that said- Homesteadbound, I want to also let you know, people can use the Google Removal Tool to speed up the process of delete cached hubs. Thank you very much. Great Hub! Voted up! :)
